Aerpro AMVW5 Carplay Android Auto replacement system to suit Volkswagen Beetle (15-16) Tiguan (15-16) With Factory MIB-PQ
The Aerpro AMVW5 10" Multimedia Receiver is designed for use with Beetle (2015-2016) and Tiguan (2015-2016)* vehicles that have a factory MIB-PQ unit. Its large 10" capacitive touchscreen display features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which can be used either wirelessly or via cable, built-in Bluetooth for hands-free phone calls and wireless audio streaming, rear USB input, and an AM/FM radio tuner. With a 40Wx4 max output, 8 band graphic EQ, and time alignment capabilities, the sound quality is superb, and amplifiers can be added to the system via the 4V/5CH RCA preouts. The Aerpro AMVW5 is supplied as a complete Head Unit Upgrade Kit, which includes all the necessary parts for installation and retains essential vehicle features such as steering wheel controls, factory amplified system, parking tones, and access to the vehicle menu.
For seamless on-road and off-road navigation through the head unit display, an optional Aerpro AMHXD3 On-Road / Off-Road Navigation Module (sold separately) can be added.
Please note that Head Unit Upgrade Kits can vary between vehicle models, so it is recommended to use the Aerpro What Fits Your Car Guide to find the correct parts. This kit includes an Infodaptor Interface that allows vehicle information to be displayed and accessed on the aftermarket head unit, retains steering wheel controls, parking tones, and the amplified system. The interface connects to the rear camera input on the aftermarket head unit, and the output for this kit will be low resolution. The Aerpro AMVW5 only suits vehicles with a factory MIB-PQ unit, and due to the head unit's size, please be aware that in Tiguan (2015-2016) vehicles, the kit partially covers the hazard button.
An Ignition Stabiliser may be required for stop-start models (Aerpro APIGNSTB, not included), and a camera retention adaptor is required to retain the factory camera (Aerpro APVVW03, not included). It may also be necessary to remove the fuse from the factory Bluetooth module for the phone button to work.
This head unit is sold as a kit, which includes the AM10X Multimedia Receiver, Matte Black Facia Kit, Infodaptor Interface Harness, SWC Patch Lead, and Antenna Adaptor.
