Aerpro AMVW6 Carplay Android Auto replacement system to suit Volkswagen Transporter (16-19) Factory MIB-2
Upgrade your Volkswagen Transporter (2016-2019) with the Aerpro AMVW6 10" Multimedia Receiver that comes with Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The kit is compatible with factory MIB-II units from the factory and includes a large 10" capacitive touchscreen display, built-in Bluetooth for hands-free phone calls and wireless audio streaming, rear USB input, and an AM/FM radio tuner. With 40Wx4 max output, 8 band graphic EQ, and time alignment capabilities, the sound quality is impressive. You can also add amplifiers to the system via the 4V/5CH RCA preouts. The kit includes all the necessary parts to complete the installation, and you can retain important vehicle features such as steering wheel controls, factory amplified system, parking tones, and access to the vehicle menu.
To experience seamless on-road and off-road navigation, you can add the optional Aerpro AMHXD3 On-Road / Off-Road Navigation Module (sold separately). Please note that Head Unit Upgrade Kits may vary between vehicle models, and you can use the Aerpro What Fits Your Car Guide to find the correct parts.
The kit includes an Infodaptor Interface that displays and accesses vehicle information on the aftermarket head unit and retains steering wheel controls, parking tones, and amplified system. The Interface connects to the rear camera input on the aftermarket head unit, and the output for this kit will be low resolution. The kit suits vehicles with MIB-II units from the factory only, and an ignition stabilizer (Aerpro APIGNSTB, not included) may be required for stop-start models. A camera retention adapter (Aerpro APVVW03, not included) is required to retain the factory camera.
Please note that features related to Connected Car, including E-Call and We Connect and the towing alarm, are not actively retained, although they may have limited functionality in the background. For vehicles with SOS/Service/Info buttons, it is recommended to get these functions factory coded out by an approved dealership before installation to avoid any diagnostic issues on the MFD.
The kit includes the AM10X Multimedia Receiver, Matte Black Facia Kit, Infodaptor Interface Harness, SWC Patch Lead, and Antenna Adaptor. The Aerpro AMVW6 Head Unit Upgrade Kit specifications include the retention of steering wheel controls (including phone button), factory reverse camera (Aerpro APVVW03 required, not included), parking tones, factory amplifier, and vehicle menu. AUX Input and USB Input are not available, and there are no other features included in the kit.
