The Aerpro AKVW12 9” Installation Kit provides all the components required to install a 9-inch trapezoid-shaped head unit into a wide range of Volkswagen vehicles, while retaining important factory features such as steering wheel controls (including phone button) and compatibility with factory amplified audio systems.

Designed for modern large-format infotainment upgrades, this kit delivers a clean OEM-style finish and seamless integration when upgrading to compatible Alpine, Kenwood, Pioneer, Aerpro, or Android-based trapezoid head units.

Please Note: This kit is designed exclusively for 9” trapezoid-shaped head units and is not compatible with standard single DIN or double DIN radios. Feature retention may vary depending on the head unit installed.

Important Installation Information

• Only suitable for 9” trapezoid-shaped radios

• Not compatible with single DIN or double DIN head units

• Pioneer CAN Bus features are not supported

  • Select Menu → Steering Wheel Control → With Adapter during setup

• Feature retention depends on the head unit installed

• When installing a high-definition reverse camera, camera resolution will be reduced when used with this kit
