At the core of the BRV-S80C is Alpine’s revolutionary HEDGE surround technology. HEDGE (High Excursion Design Gathered Edge) is engineered to dramatically increase cone excursion while maintaining precise control. This allows the 8-inch woofer to move more air efficiently, delivering powerful and tactile bass in the critical 35Hz to 80Hz range.
With a maximum linear excursion peak of up to 28mm, the BRV-S80C produces bass that is not only louder, but tighter and more controlled. This design ensures deep low-frequency response without distortion, even at higher sound pressure levels.
Lightweight Polypropylene Woofer for Clean, Accurate Sound
The BRV-S80C features an exclusively designed polypropylene (PP) woofer cone that balances rigidity with low mass. This construction resists resonance and unwanted vibration, allowing the speaker to maintain composure during high-excursion movement.

OEM-Friendly Tweeter Fitment for Stealth Installations
The BRV-S80C tweeters are designed with installation flexibility in mind. By removing the supplied housing and trim ring, the tweeter becomes compact enough to fit into many factory OEM tweeter locations such as A-pillars, mirror triangles, or door sail panels.
This allows for a clean, factory-style appearance with minimal or no modification, preserving the original interior design while significantly improving sound quality.
