This switch utilizes an internal roller ball bearing to sense tilt. When the device is tilted toward the built-in contact switch, the ball bearing completes the circuit, thereby activating the trigger.

Unlike our Mercury tilt switch, the Viper 8613 does not contain Mercury, making it compliant with environmental regulations in many jurisdictions that restrict the use of Mercury due to its environmental impact.
