Kenwood's Perfect Fit range solves this properly. Rather than a generic double-DIN swap that looks bolted on, these units are built to the exact shape and connector of your Toyota's factory opening, so you get a modern touchscreen with wireless smartphone mirroring and nothing looks out of place.

What you keep after the upgrade

Steering wheel controls carry over. Reversing camera input carries over. On most models the factory microphone and Bluetooth setup can be retained too, so voice calls and Siri come through clearly rather than through a tacked-on external mic — something a lot of cheaper universal kits get wrong.
