The C7 series from JL Audio represents the pinnacle of automotive loudspeaker design, utilizing advanced development tools and precision manufacturing for unparalleled quality.
Designed for use in a 3-way system with a woofer and tweeter, the C7-350cm component midrange offers exceptional transient response and linearity, resulting in clarity and natural mid-range reproduction. Distortion and non-linearities are minimized through optimization of dynamic motor and suspension behaviors.
C7 drivers do not include passive crossover networks as they are intended for active systems. We recommend pairing them with high-quality tuning DSPs such as the JL Audio TwK® 88 or D8, or a VXi amplifier with built-in DSP. Precise setup of equalization, delay, and crossover filters ensures optimal in-vehicle performance.
C7-350cm Design Features:
- Cone and Dust Cap: Vacuum-formed, mineral-filled polypropylene material with a concave dust cap for improved high-frequency behavior.
- Suspension Design: Linear profile spider made from Nomex®/polycotton blend and a positive-roll rubber surround for optimum damping without restricting excursion.
- Motor Design: High-density magnetic circuit with neodymium magnet and U-Yoke topology for reduced distortion and linear motor force.
- Voice Coil: 36 mm (1.42 inch) diameter, overhung voice coil wound with copper-clad aluminum wire for extended power handling capability.
- Chassis: Purpose-engineered cast alloy basket with thin spokes to maximize rear open area.

- With 48 dB/octave filters: 300 Hz - 10 kHz
- With 24 dB/octave filters: 400 Hz - 10 kHz
- With 12 dB/octave filters: 500 Hz - 10 kHz
